Ill health and disability
The RCN Welfare Rights and Guidance Service offers a range of advice and information on ill health and disability and their impact at work.
These include:
- benefits and pensions
- income maximisation and/ or debt advice if you are off sick and on reduced pay
- work related injuries and injury benefits

- signposting to other specialist services where appropriate.
We also facilitate peer support for RCN members through Peer Support @ MSS. This group is for all members experiencing short or long term ill health and/or disabilities, as well as members with a professional interest. The group aims to put members in touch with each other to share knowledge and experiences for mutual support.
