The RCN has around 900 safety representatives working in a variety of sectors. RCN safety representatives play a valuable role in driving up health and safety standards in health care. The biggest issues for safety representatives according to the Safety representatives survey 2008 (PDF 609KB) are work-related stress, unsafe staffing levels and bullying and harassment.
