Member briefing: National mental health reviews in Scotland

09 October 2019
The Scottish Government is taking forward four national mental health reviews in Scotland. The RCN is delighted that mental health is getting renewed attention, with an emphasis on improving services and embedding the rights of people using them. This is a real opportunity to ensure that the nursing voice is heard as services and legislation are re-shaped.
The RCN has professional seats on three of the reviews and has supported shaping the fourth. The reviews are each in the very early stages of their work, so this member briefing provides an overview of what each group is intending to do.

We are keen to engage with members in our work. If you have any initial comments or ideas you would like to share, and/or would like us to keep you in the loop on developments, please email us on policyscotland@rcn.org.uk to let us know.
