The principles and practice of surgery for nurses and allied professions

D Nash

Alison Williams, Specialist radiology nurse

Reason you chose this book

I loved this book for its detail, photographs and diagrams of so many surgical procedures I was involved in the post procedure aftercare of the patients when I was a student 1980 -1983. The management of surgical procedures was explained in great detail, and I still have the book today.

Review

In 1981 this book cost me £24.42 which was the best part of half my week's wage, as a student nurse. We discussed many books in class, and this was the one I choose. The layout of tables, photographs and how concise each chapter was, enabled the student to follow each procedure in detail to enable one to have a good understanding of aftercare and what to expect of the patient. I guess it was worth the money I spent on it!
