Celebrate Me - 100 years of learning disability nursing

21 May 2019 13:15 - 14:00

11A, ACC Liverpool , Kings Dock , Liverpool Waterfront , Liverpool , L3 4FP

This event will celebrate the amazing work and achievements that have happened in the last 100 years of learning disability (LD) nursing.
The event will also look to the next 100 years and provide an opportunity to discuss and influence the future shape of this indispensable branch of nursing. We will hear the findings of the Foundation of Nursing Studies Celebrate Me project (launched in March 2019) which focussed on perceptions of LD nursing and consider this reports implications.
In addition, we will be premiering the new animation film produced by the Learning Disability Nursing Forum, targeted at teenagers, to encourage them to want to become an LD nurse.
