HEE’s Clinical endoscopist training programme

14 May 2018 08:00 - 08:45

Boardroom 1, Belfast Waterfront, 2 Lanyon Place, Belfast, BT1 3WH

Health Education England

Health Education England has developed a new route into endoscopy for suitably qualified, registered health professionals, including nurses.

Designed to meet service need in the face of rising demand for endoscopy services, this JAG-supported programme comprehensively trains health professionals to be scoping independently in their new role within 7 months.

Many of the trainees who have joined the programme have nursing backgrounds and they are going on to further develop their careers. In this session you will learn about the training programme and how it is supporting career development whilst enabling those who train to continue to work directly with patients. You can also find more information on the programme on Health Education England's website.

Please Note: this programme is currently only available in England.
