NMC education standards consultation

Have your say on the proposed new standards

The NMC has launched a consultation on standards of proficiency for the future registered nurse. These are the minimum standards that a nurse will need to meet to be considered to be capable of safe and effective practice.

It’s anticipated that the final set of requirements will be published by early 2018, and that they will be adopted from the 2018-19 academic year.

Have your say on the proposed new standards at a series of free workshops, organised by the RCN. Your feedback will shape the RCN’s response to the NMC consultation.

The half day workshops are open to all health care staff, including non-members of the RCN.

Lunch is provided and attendance will count towards your revalidation portfolio.

You can also inform the RCN response by completing our short survey.
