Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Robert M. Pirsig

Reason you chose this book

I read a lot and this book is one of few that I return to over and again. It taught me about the meaning of the word 'quality' amongst other things. I apply this to my practice on a daily basis.

The book hits on many levels, from philosophy to motorcycles to the mindset that created motorcycles (and everything else in the modern world). It's more than one story - travelogue, father/son relationship, past and future lives. Hard to describe really - you need to read it but if you like it you'll read it again (and again) sooner or later.
