The Inspirational Achievement in Addiction Services Award, sponsored by Addiction NI, is open to registered nurses working with individuals, families or communities in the field of drug and/or alcohol use. Candidates must demonstrate that they have made a positive difference to the lives of people who are using drugs or alcohol, their families and loved ones, or in the wider community.
Nominees for this award must currently be working as a registered nurse in Northern Ireland. Please check that the person you wish to nominate is content for you to nominate them. Nominations must be made by someone who is familiar with the work of the nominee.
How to apply:
Fill out the application form and complete a 500 word summary showing evidence of how the nominee has:
- Collaborative working with service users and/or other organisations/ representatives to design and deliver effective interventions or treatments
- demonstrable outcomes that led to improved quality of life for individuals, families or communities living with addictions and their impact
or
- demonstrable outcomes that led to systemic change or change in policy and practice which delivered better outcomes for people living with addictions, their families or communities.
