Pay calculator

Speaking up on nursing pay

NHS pay has lagged behind inflation for the last five years.

What has this cost you?

How to use this calculator

If you are currently working as a nurse, midwife, HCA or AP, you can use this calculator to estimate what you would be earning now if NHS Agenda for Change pay points had kept up with inflation since 2009.

To use the calculator, enter the country where you work and your current gross annual salary, not including any supplements you receive (such as overtime, unsocial hours pay etc). You can find current NHS pay points here.

The calculator only works with full-time salaries. If you are part-time, please estimate the full-time pay rate for your job before using the calculator.

This calculator only applies to NHS staff on Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

The calculator uses RPI inflation data sourced from the Office for National Statistics. This is because RPI, unlike CPI, includes housing costs.
