Friends and family claims
We are now able to offer tailored legal advice and representation to members’ friends and their families in relation to personal injury claims.
Claims are funded by way of a conditional fee agreement between the non-member and our selected partners, RCNLaw in England and Wales and Alba Claims in Scotland. Payment of the policy premium can be deferred until the claim is settled, so no upfront costs.
Claimants will receive at least 75% of the compensation awarded.
- The claim must be valued at a minimum of £1,000 (the current Small Claims Limit set by the Courts)
- The prospects of success must be at least 51%
- The injury must have occurred within the past three years
- For membership cover, members must have been in membership at the time of the incident (n.b. members not in membership at the time of the incident can use the Friends and Family service instead)
