Code of Practice F: Donation of solid organs and tissue for transplantation (Part Two – Deceased organ and tissue donation)

Status: CLOSED
Published: 12 Sep 2019 01:00
Source: Human Tissue Authority (HTA)

You may be aware that the HTA launched a consultation in July on changes to their Code of Practice F: Donation of solid organs and tissue for transplantation. They have since amended the Code Human Tissue Act 2004 as a result of the Organ Donation (Deemed Consent) Act 2019, which is due to come into force in England from spring 2020.

They are seeking feedback from our key stakeholders, as well as individuals and organisations who have an interest in organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

We would be grateful if you would consider responding to our consultation, as your views will help shape the final version of the code.

Please send your responses to: clinicalconsultations@rcn.org.uk by 5pm on Monday, 23 September 2019.

We would encourage you to read the draft version of the Code of Practice F (Part two – Deceased organ and tissue donation) before responding.

For further information, please contact clinicalconsultations@rcn.org.uk
