Changing Places Toilets

Status: CLOSED
Published: 29 May 2019 01:00

This consultation seeks views on how we can increase provision of Changing Places toilets in specific - new, large buildings commonly used by the public, as well as those undergoing building works.

Changing Places toilets meet the needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities as well as physical disabilities and include equipment such as adult-sized changing tables.

The proposed approach is to introduce a mandatory requirement for Changing Places toilets in Building Regulations.

Questions posed include whether we agree with this approach, the types of buildings this should apply to and the equipment that should be included.

Please see the Changing-Places-Toilets consultation paper and the full list of questions that the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government would like our response for.

Please submit your responses to Amanda Cheesley by 5pm on Friday 12th July 2019.
