Implementation of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016

The Welsh Government want your views to changes to the regulation and inspection of social care services and the social care workforce in Wales.

The purpose of the consultation is to consider draft proposals which include:

• mandatory registration of domiciliary care workers
• opening the workforce register on a voluntary basis to social care workers
• changing the way that Care Inspectorate Wales decides whether a person is fit and proper to be a service provider
