What we are currently working on:

At the beginning of 2019 the Rheumatology Forum commenced work to produce a Rheumatology Nurse Specialist Career Pathway and Competency Framework.  Rheumatological conditions and their treatments are varied and complex and the role of the Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist (RCNS) therefore requires a high level of clinical skills and knowledge. The framework will ensure that there is a universal benchmark of standards for training and competency across the UK and will support career development, provide a credentialing opportunity, and will align to the wider RCN Career Pathway work stream.
