“At Medbank Healthcare, we worked with nurses and the RCN to raise awareness of agency nurses’ needs and used feedback to ensure these were met - recognising the unique needs of this group.
To address the difficulties, we set up seminars for nurses and access to a confirmer was provided. Working together with the RCN we created the Agency Nurse Network - where nurses can access CPD, share ideas and receive support from both the RCN and a nursing agency.
As a result of this work, the Agency Nurse Network was created and it has continued to progress, there have been seminars for staff, we have assisted with the healthy workplace toolkit and provided CPD to agency nurses."
