COVID-19 (Coronavirus) - the London library and exhibition has reopened to members. You must book in advance to visit.  

Members can now book to visit the London library including our current exhibition - Who Cares? A History of Emotions in Nursing (viewing time approx. 20-30 mins).

Spaces must be booked at least 24 hours before visiting and up to 7 days in advance. If you no longer need a booking please cancel it so another member can use it. Visit our keeping up to date page for the latest information.

The Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff libraries are still closed following government guidance to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.

All our other services are available online, as they have been throughout the COVID pandemic.

Our training sessions and events continue online.

    The RCN Library in London is extending its opening hours

    We are delighted to announce that from Monday 6 September 2021, we will be extending our opening hours in the RCN Library and Heritage Centre in London to Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.

    This year we’re pushing hard to improve diversity within our library collections. In 2019 we looked at all the books on our subject specialism guides to see just what diversity there was in authorship. This is what we found.

    London Library is open

    The Library and Heritage Centre is now open to members on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You will need to book in advance in order to visit us.
