Update:
Our new Library Search page has now launched.
We are excited to announce that our Library Search is about to receive a major upgrade. This new and improved page will bring you better functionality and a more user-friendly experience.
The updated page will go live Wednesday 25 September. Access to our eresources and ebooks will not be effected. However, the old account management page will be disabled and you will not be able to log into that page on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 September.
The new Library Search page will keep the same features you may have used before, but with time-saving improvements:
- Simplified interface: the new page will be easier to navigate.
- Easier account management: access and manage your account along with thousands of resources all in one place.
- Better organised results: different editions and ebooks will be grouped together with clearer labels to help you choose the right resource.
Our training schedule for the next three months is already live. You can join a session to get familiar with the new page. We encourage both current and new users to join a training session. Book your place now.
We’ve been working closely with OCLC to implement this change. OCLC are a global not-for-profit organisation and have experience of providing search pages for thousands of libraries worldwide. We’re delighted to bring their expertise to our library.
We’d like to thank all our members who joined our Library Search page consultation groups in April. Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping this upgrade. Thanks to your suggestions it will be easier and quicker than before to find the right resources.
Over the last few months, we’ve been working hard to bring you this update and we are almost there.
