I had the privilege of being part of #RCN2022 as a voting member with the Nurses in Management and Leadership Forum for the first time.
I have been an RCN member since 2016, the opportunity to attend congress as a voting member enabled me to step out of my comfort zone and experience a bunch of new dynamics and practices inside the great organisation that the RCN is. Being part of the Nurses in Management and Leadership Forum gave me the opportunity to meet colleagues with completely different backgrounds willing to share their views and wisdom.
I was lucky to be part of a very active forum, not just in the way that they organised workshops but the way how they proposed resolutions and matters for discussion during the debates.
Being a voting member allowed me to get involved in all the debates, not only building, and maturing my critical thinking but also being more aware of the challenging moments for nurses and their careers.
I wish to continue and consolidate my relationship with the RCN. My gratitude to all the Nurses in Management and Leadership Forum that I met and a special recognition to @Sally Bassett, Chair of the Forum, what a privilege to meet you and learn with you.
I invite all RCN members that never had the opportunity to be part of Congress as a voting member to do it. The achievements are immeasurable.
I’m looking forward to #RCN 2023 in Brighton.
Thank you.
