Part of my role is to increase your involvement in the work the RCN does and to work with you on the issues you care about at work. This also involves looking at how you can work with others in your place of work to create any changes you want to see. That change could be the quality of the staff room on site or could be wider issues such as the pay and working conditions in your workplace as a whole. I want you to be involved in identifying, directing and enacting the changes you want to see.
To begin with I am planning to engage with a small number of members working in care and nursing homes in Norfolk to support them in developing a model to ensure the voice of nursing is heard.
