Back by popular demand, join this interactive and multidisciplinary event in collaboration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
Reflecting the multidisciplinary healthcare system in which you practice, the expert speakers and event attendees will include pharmacy, paramedic and nursing professionals. If you are a new Designated Prescribing Practitioner (DPP), or thinking about becoming one in the future, this event is for you.
Attending this event will enable you to:
- Understand practical applications of the Designated Prescribing Practitioners competency framework, by hearing from some of the experts that wrote it.
- Be fully informed on the expectations and practical aspects of being a DPP including the benefits, legalities and challenges, from new and experienced DPPs.
- Be equipped with ways of optimising the trainee’s learning experience by reflecting on your own experiences as an independent prescriber and engaging in small group discussions.
- Be confident in how to identify and manage trainees in difficulty, recognising when and how to escalate concerns about a trainee prescriber by learning from real-life experiences.
- Network, learn and put your questions to like-minded colleagues involved in supporting and developing independent prescribers.
This online event offers an opportunity to inspire you to consider taking on the highly rewarding position as a DPP and hear first-hand from other DPPs as they share their experiences and insights in this vital role. We have experts attending from every sector, from primary and secondary care, community and academia.
Due to the interactive nature of the event, places are limited.
Please note bookings are taken by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
