ExpertTeas: Meet a therapy dog

When: 29 Mar 2017 12:00 - 13:00
Where: Royal College of Nursing, 20 Cavendish Square, London, W1G 0RN
Cost: £Free

Meet some four-legged friends at this free drop-in and learn about how pets can enhance the health and well being in the community and improve the lives of people living with mental and physical health conditions and illnesses.

As well as meeting a furry friend, you can talk to the experts. Chairperson of Pets as Therapy Anne Clilverd will be accompanied by her Whippet Cesc, and Kate McCormack from the Bethlem Royal Hospital Occupational Therapy Department will be bringing her Siberian Husky Tess. So come along for a cup of tea and enjoy a bit of pet therapy for yourself.

Please note: The dogs visiting us are behaviourally assessed animals. They will be accompanied at all times and are there to make you feel good! However, if you are interested in this session and have any concerns, please do get in touch audienceengagement@rcn.org.uk.
These are free events. Register your name here or just drop-by on the day.
