Reps' CL&D event: Reps in action building stronger connections and workplaces

The purpose of this event is to enhance the effectiveness of our members by exploring strategies and best practices that drive meaningful engagement and support within the workplace.
This event will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of member engagement, focusing on the role of representatives and how they can foster strong relationships and active participation.
Key sessions will highlight the vital role of different member groups:
- Stewards will focus on the importance of addressing discrimination in the workplace and provide practical approaches to leading sensitive conversations.
- Learning Reps will explore the role of education in professional development, emphasizing how building strong connections with the professional side of the RCN can boost career growth.
- Health and Safety Reps will dive into risk assessments, with particular attention to managing musculoskeletal (MSK) issues, and strategies for ensuring safe home/hybrid working environments.
This event is being held in conjunction with the Northern Cluster, which incorporates the RCN Northern, North West and Yorkshire & the Humber regions.
