Communication and Changes in Behaviour in Dementia (part 2) (for Health Care Support Workers and Nursing Students)

Building on the morning seminar, by the end of this afternoon seminar, participants will further understand how communication and behaviour may be affected by dementia with reference to helping approaches and interventions.

This seminar is aimed at Health Care Support Workers/ Health Care Assistants and Nursing Students working in any sector.

Topics include:

  • Practice based issues
  • Communication and potential behavioural changes
  • Some practice based helping interventions

The course content is mapped to 2.2 of 'Good Work - a dementia learning and development framework for Wales 2016'

Course fees include tea/coffee and resources on the day

*Please note – delegates attending this seminar will need to also attend the morning seminar on “An Overview of Dementia (part 1)” on the same day, as this afternoon seminar will build on the topics covered in the morning.
