An opportunity for accredited representatives to network and support each other and to contribute to the work of the region.

The Eastern Regional Representatives’ Conferences are an opportunity for accredited representatives to network and support each other and to contribute to the work of the region. Senior Officers and Regional Officers will be available throughout the day, facilitating this exchange of information and local intelligence. Please note, these events are only open to accredited RCN Eastern reps.

The topic for the day is Exploring the new NMC Standards for Student Supervision & Assessment in the workplace and the impact on members and accredited representatives.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

Explain the changes to the NMC standards and discuss implications for practice

Recognise the importance of the RCN Representative role (Learning Rep, Safety Rep and Steward) in supporting organisations to implement the standards

Identify and address own learning needs around the RCN Representative role in supporting members

State at least three ways in which they will engage and inform members on the changes
