Cumbria branch meeting and talk on the new NMC education standards

02 May 2019 10:30 - 14:30

Grange Health Centre, Kents Bank Road, Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria, LA11 7DJ.

The new NMC education standards set out the skills and knowledge that the next generation of nurses will need to deliver safe care. They will change the way that nursing students will learn while on placement and impact all nursing staff, including those returning to practice, those in approved education institutions and practice placement providers.

One of the most significant changes is that mentors and sign-off mentors will be replaced by practice supervisors, practice assessors and academic assessors.

Attend our talk to:

  • learn more about the new standards
  • discover more about the roles of practice supervisor, practice assessor and academic assessor
  • understand the challenges and opportunities for practice-based learning.

All members who work in Cumbria are welcome to this session or you can just turn up for the branch meeting itself at 12:30 until 2:30 pm.

Please let us know if you are planning to come along as lunch will be provided.
