Nurses and healthcare support workers identifying and responding to serious youth violence

Nurses and healthcare support workers deal with the physical and emotional impact of violence every day.

A public health approach to tackling violence demands that healthcare professionals including nurses, doctors, midwives, healthcare support workers and social workers do more than treat the consequences of violence. The public health approach requires us to reduce violence itself.

This event aims to provide nurses and healthcare support workers with the skills and knowledge to identify and respond appropriately to serious youth violence they emerge in a wide variety of care-settings.
