The call for abstracts has now closed.  All submissions are being reviewed by the MHNR Scientific Committee and submitters can expect to be notified of the outcome by email week commencing 10 June 2019.

The conference is open to RCN members and non-members and aims to support nurses and members of the nursing family, as well as allied healthcare professionals, working in the academic, clinical and professional setting in the UK and overseas. This includes those working in NHS, private and voluntary sectors, universities and colleges. 
Students and those wishing to pursue a career in mental health are also welcome to attend.

We are delighted to announce that the Students in Partnership scheme will be running in 2019.

Pre-registration nursing students submitting an abstract for the conference are welcome to apply under the scheme. The top two scoring abstract submissions from pre-registration students selected to present at the conference will be supported with the costs of their travel and accommodation up to a maximum of £300. Please contact mhnr@rcn.org.uk for further details.

All RCN student members wishing to attend the conference will qualify for the discounted conference fee of £150 plus VAT. Not a member? Join today to qualify for the discounted conference fee.  

 

The MHNR committee would like to invite conference attendees to join them for this special occasion, bringing colleagues and friends together for a rare opportunity to meet and enjoy dinner.

The conference dinner will be held on the evening of 12 September.  Taking place in the prestigious Cowdray Hall of RCN Headquarters, it is a great opportunity for everyone to get together socially following the first day of the conference.  Post-dinner drinks can be enjoyed at The Phoenix bar following dinner where a private area has been arranged for conference attendees.

Tickets must be bought in advance and can be done at the same time as booking to attend the main conference.  One ticket is £37.50 +VAT (£45).  Please call 02920 546460 to book your ticket now.
 

Presenter acceptance and registering 

If you are happy to present your work at the MHNR conference, please complete the acceptance form by no later than 5pm on Friday 12th July 2019.
All presenters need to register and pay to attend the conference.  The two day conference costs £250+VAT.  Presenters must quote their abstract submission number at the time of booking to qualify for this rate.
Please note the presenter rate is not available to book on the website, please contact the events registration team on 0292 054 6460 to book.  If you require an invoice please send a completed booking form and purchase order to RCNDEventsRegistration@rcn.org.uk.  All presenters must be registered by 5pm on Friday 12th July 2019.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will take place on the evening of 12 September and must be registered for in advance, this can be done as part of your booking to attend as a presenter.  This is a great networking opportunity and we would be delighted if you can join us.
