This four-day innovative leadership programme has been designed specifically to facilitate the development of the leadership skills for the registered managers and deputy managers in nursing homes in Northern Ireland. The programme will explore and clarify the manager’s role and responsibilities, discuss professional and legal accountability and the relationship between good leadership and improved patient outcomes.
Participants on the programme will also learn about the key principles of performance management and their responsibility for engaging employees so they achieve their full potential. The factors impacting patient safety will also be explored, alongside the tools used in root cause analysis investigation. The programme will challenge current accepted practices and stimulate debate around the delivery of care and the achievement of clinical excellence in a changing health care environment.
4-day programme commences on Monday 18 January until Thursday 21 January 2021 (delegates MUST commit to all four days in order to receive a certificate.)
Daily 10am—4.30pm (log onto Zoom 15 mins prior to start time)
