RCN East Midlands LD100 event – celebrating 100 years of Learning and Disability Nursing

Join the RCN East Midlands region to celebrate 100 years of learning and disability nursing. This free conference, held in conjunction with Health Education England, is open to RCN members and non-members of all roles, and has a fantastic line-up of speakers.

The programme for the day (while subject to change) is as follows:

1pm - 1.30pm: Registration, tea, coffee and networking 

1.30pm - 1.50pm: Opening address - Anne Marie Rafferty, RCN President

1.50pm - 2pm: How the RCN Learning Disability Forum has been supporting nurses - Jonathan Beebee and Glenn Batey, RCN Learning Disability Nursing Forum

2pm - 2.20pm: Supporting the future nursing workforce - Jackie Brocklehurst, Regional Associate Clinical Lead, Health Education England (Midlands and East)

2.20pm - 2.35pm: The importance of embedding implicit attitudes in learning disability education and training - Debbie Aunger, Royal Mencap Society

2.35pm - 2.45pm: Break
