Learning outcomes:

•          Provide a simple explanation of the Doppler Effect and how this is used to determine arterial flow

•           Explain the correct procedure for calculating an ABPI

•           Articulate a number of issues which can lead to inaccurate readings

•           Practice the procedure

What you need to bring:

• Handheld Doppler (and spare batteries)
• Sphygmomanometer
• Please note: delegates should be prepared to bare their upper arms and feet for practice. If you are uncomfortable with this, please speak to the workshop leader on the day.
