for Independent Sector Deputy Managers employed in nursing homes in Northern Ireland 

This four-day innovative leadership programme has been designed specifically to facilitate the development of the leadership skills for the deputy managers/clinical leads (or similar title) in nursing homes in Northern Ireland. The programme will explore and clarify the role and responsibilities, discuss professional and legal accountability and the relationship between good leadership and improved patient outcomes. Participants on the programme will also learn about the key principles of performance management, developing effective teams and their responsibility for engaging employees so they achieve their full potential. The programme will challenge current accepted practices and stimulate debate around the delivery of care within a human rights framework and the achievement of clinical excellence in a changing health care environment.


Programme dates for 2022

Programme one: 16 March, 7 April, 24 May and 22 June 2022

Programme two: 31 March, 27 April, 25 May and 29 June 2022
