This exciting programme, "The RCN and you" is taking place across the UK and will offer SIOs the opportunity to network and learn more about the RCN.

RCN England has developed an exciting development opportunity for all SIOs.

No matter where you are on your general course, there will be something of interest for you.

This six module programme will enable you to develop skills to be a nurse leader of the future. It will also equip you with knowledge and skills to play an active role in the RCN today.

From leadership to recruiting new members to looking after yourself and others in the workplace, this programme offers a range of practical workshops.

On this first module, Leadership matters, you will:

  • Understand the RCN as a professional Trade Union
  • Understand what it means to be an “active member” of the RCN in different way
  • Be able to recruit RCN members

There will also be an opportunity to network and a time for a discussion about local issues and current RCN work.

Come and meet other SIOs at what promises to be an exciting and interactive day. This event is free to attend and lunch is provided, please book on using the links above.

If you have any questions about the programme, contact your student committee member or your local regional office.
