RCN Rheumatology Nursing Webinar

13 Oct 2020 18:30 - 19:30

On Tuesday 13 October RCN Forum Chair Julie Begum will be joined by Sue Oliver and Diana Finney to discuss the past, present and future of rheumatology nursing before giving you the opportunity to join the discussion and ask your questions.

By attending this session attendees will be:

  • introduced to how the competency framework and how they can apply this to clinical practice to ensure standardised evidence-based practice in the UK
  • able to self-assess their level of practice using the Competency Framework and associated framework templates. The webinar will guide them through how to do this
  • introduced to how the competency framework can help the development of their career (i.e. via the annual appraisal route) and explain to managers what support is needed to achieve this.

Julie Begum added: "This is a fantastic opportunity to see how Rheumatology Nursing has evolved so much in a short period of time. It also highlights what we could do in the future using the RCN competency framework to strengthen and safeguard our specialist roles."
