Understanding Restrictive Practice

18 Jan 2019 10:00 - 12:30

Conference Suite, RCN Northern Ireland, 17 Windsor Avenue, Belfast, BT9 6EE

Learning and development seminar for registered nurses employed in nursing homes

Restrictive practices are sometimes necessary and if used therapeutically, ethically and lawfully they could form part of health and social care delivery. Delegates attending this session will develop an improved understanding of what makes a practice restrictive.

They will be provided with a framework for practice that embeds a rights-based approach and puts the person at the centre of decision-making processes, and they will understand the importance of working within legal, ethical and professional accountability frameworks.

To book your place on this morning workshop please go to the Book Online button, alternatively send your full name, home address, RCN membership number (if applicable), job title, work place and preferred email address to or telephone Events Registration Team on 029 2054 6460.
