This morning seminar aims to provide a refresher/ enhanced knowledge in relation to common causes and types of stroke and consequences of stroke, acute treatments for stroke, and stroke prevention.

This seminar is aimed at Registered Nurses, Health Care Support Workers and Nursing Students working in any sector. This event is hosted by RCN Wales, but you do not need to be based in Wales to join us!

The seminar aims to:

  • Provide a refresher/ enhanced knowledge in relation to; common causes and types of Stroke and the consequences of stroke
  • Provide a refresher/ enhanced knowledge in relation to acute treatments for stroke 
  • Provide a refresher/enhanced knowledge in relation to evidence-based standards of stroke care in the first 72 hours 
  • Discuss Nurse Leadership in stroke and how nurses can get involved
  • Provide a refresher/enhanced knowledge in relation to stroke prevention

It will look at Anatomy and physiology, Hyper-acute stroke treatments, Stroke guidelines and the evidence, Nurse Leadership in Stroke, and include a Q & A section

This seminar will count towards participatory learning for NMC revalidation

Cancellations received BEFORE 5PM FRIDAY 3 DECEMBER 2021 will be refunded, minus a 25% administration fee.  Regrettably, no refunds can be processed after this date.  Places can only be substituted with the prior knowledge and agreement of RCN Events
