Recruiting new members in Orpington

RCN representatives explain the benefits of membership

21 Jul 2016

RCN representatives Tracie Culpitt and Lisa Marsh organised a successful recruitment day in July at Orpington Hospital.

A good number of members visited the RCN stand with many picking up the RCN information leaflet on record keeping, delegation, accountability and the NMC revalidation.

Eight new members were recruited on the day which included seven HCAs and one qualified nurse member. A majority of the HCAs were attracted by RCN’s presence at the Trust, the RCN’s profile and membership offers.

Members also gave helpful feedback about the work of the RCN and three members expressed an interest to become an RCN rep.

RCN Officer Stephen Awosunle attended on behalf of the RCN and said:

“Overall the event was valuable and positive with lots of questions and interest from members. RCN London reps Lisa Marsh and Tracie Cupitt organised the day and we greatly appreciate their help and unconditional support towards the RCN.”
