Local authority investment in third sector organisations welcomed by RCN Wales

26 Jan 2017

Tina Donnelly tells us that local authorities must work closely with third sector organisations to ensure "clear and effective working arrangements"

Following today’s report from the Auditor General for Wales regarding third sector services in Wales, Tina Donnelly, Director, RCN Wales said:
“The work that takes place in third sector organisations play a vital role in helping to support individuals with a variety of needs, in a variety of settings across Wales. RCN Wales recognises the importance of the work that takes place in this area and are thankful that local authorities provide significant financial support to these organisations, helping to strengthen the essential services that are being provided to clients.”
“This increased investment from local authorities has established a commitment to meaningful working relationships with these third sector organisations and we must now ensure that in order to build upon this, and provide longevity to these partnerships, clear and effective working arrangements must be implemented so that there are further improved outcomes for all involved going into the future.”
