The RCN Nursing Department is helping to run an event in June which looks to share best practice for colleagues working with carers. The event will be opened by RCN Chief Executive and General Secretary Dr Peter Carter.

This event will be the culmination of an initiative run by the Royal College of Nursing, funded by the Department of Health, to raise awareness of nurses to the health and wellbeing of carers and support them to make a resulting change in their practice.

The event takes place in London and all RCN members are invited to take part.

Date: Tuesday 30 June 2015
Venue: Amba Hotel, Charing Cross, London WC2N 5HX

The national summit will bring together key stakeholders, nurses who have been part of the initiative and others to hear about the progress made at both local and national level, with the aim of making a step change in how nurses care for carers.
