Nurses' Day 2015 - South East Region celebrates

12 May 2015

Nurses across the South East Region joined in a day of festivities on Tuesday 12 May in celebration of Nurses’ Day 2015.

More than 30 events were held in the South East where Nurses, Reps and RCN staff talked, celebrated and consumed a great deal of cake.

Activities centred around stands on the sites and walking the wards and also included student talks at University of Brighton, and RCN's Lindsay Meeks even donned an elderly simulation suit on the Isle of Wight.

An educational event for South East Coast Ambulance Service members – which included sessions by Teresa Budrey on revalidation, Christine McKenzie on professional development, Wendy Irwin on personal development and Helen Churchill on professional practice and the new NMC Code – was very well received by those attending.

Many thanks to all members who joined in the celebrations to make it a really memorable Nurses’ Day!
