RCN London attends NNAUK dinner

10 Nov 2015

London Board Chair Ian Norris represented the RCN at the Nepalese Nursing Association UK (NNAUK) annual dinner on Saturday 5 September.

This year’s event was dedicated in memory of those who lost their lives in the earthquake which hit Nepal in April of this year, and tributes were paid to nurses who went to Nepal to care for victims of the disaster.

Extraordinary people

Speaking at the event, RCN London Board Chair Ian Norris said: “The stories which we have heard about nursing during the tragic events in Nepal in April just go to show that nurses are ordinary people who do extraordinary things every day. Nurses are always prepared to go the extra mile and respond quickly to emergency situations. A number of our London colleagues had family members affected by the disaster and the thoughts of everyone at the RCN have been with the Nepalese community during this difficult year.”

The NNAUK has close association with RCN London  and NNAUK Vice-President Prasuna Kadel is an active local RCN member.
