Nursing, Past, Present and Future features the stories of members of the nursing workforce from military nursing in World War I and district nursing in the 1960s to nursing behind bars in the 21st century and how research can have a major impact on our future.
2016 marks an important milestone in our history of the RCN. We wanted to ensure that we make our own mark in history by creating this publication. When the RCN celebrates its 200th year, we want our future members and staff to look back on this publication see how nursing has evolved and how we have overcome the challenges our profession faces.
Regional Director, RCN North West Estephanie Dunn said: "I would like to thank those who have contributed to our publication as without your experiences, it would not have been possible. I hope you enjoy reading about the fantastic work our nursing workforce has carried out over the past 100 years."
