RCN Northern Ireland Lead Nurses Network launched

8 Jun 2015

The RCN has established a new network for lead nurses in Northern Ireland.

The network is led by RCN member Pat Cullen. It links with the Nurses in Management and Leadership Forum. Membership of the network is open to any RCN member who is working at Assistant Director, Associate Director or Deputy Director level and/or has professional responsibility and accountability for nurses and nursing within the HSC as a substantive component of their job description.

The new network was launched on Monday 15 June 2015 by RCN Chief Executive & General Secretary Dr Peter Carter. He thanked Pat Cullen for agreeing to lead the new network and said: “I know that Pat will provide excellent leadership to the network in its support for lead nurses as you discharge your challenging, yet rewarding, responsibilities. I assure you of the full commitment of the RCN to facilitating and supporting lead nurses and the work of the new Lead Nurses Network.”

If you are interested in joining the RCN Northern Ireland Lead Nurses Network and meet the criteria above, please contact Pat Cullen via
