RCN at Brighton Pride 2016

6 Aug 2016

The RCN stand on the festival site promoted an understanding of diversity within nursing, between nursing staff and towards the people they serve.

Visitors to the stand were able to pick up free whistles, wristbands, and sweets, and also chat to RCN staff about general health and wellbeing and find out more about the RCN’s work for the nursing community.

RCN Senior Regional Officer Sue Huggins said: “We are very proud that this is the sixth year the RCN has supported Pride. The RCN is a champion of diversity, equality, human rights and liberty, all of which are fundamental to nursing care and which help to create an inclusive healthcare environment where everyone can feel valued."

The stand also raised funds for the RCN Foundation, which is an independent charity supporting the nursing community.
