RCN consults members on pay offer for NHS staff in Wales

21 Aug 2018

Members have until 14 September to vote on whether to accept the deal.

The RCN in Wales has launched its consultation on the offer of a pay rise for staff on Agenda for Change contracts working for the NHS in Wales.

The RCN will hold a series of information meetings across Wales so members can find out what the pay deal means for them before completing the survey.

Tina Donnelly, Director of the RCN in Wales, said: “The deal agreed by the Treasury for the English NHS forms the basis for the Welsh offer, but the situation is different here, with health a devolved function of the Welsh Government.

“This means that while the deal agreed by the UK Government will form the framework for the deal for Welsh NHS staff, its terms differ in some respects.”

A Wales pay calculator is available so individual members can see how the offer will affect them.

Prior to voting please remember to view the full framework - visit the NHS Confederation Wales Pay Deal 2018 page, or directly access the Draft Framework Agreement or members can access the pay journey tool here.

The consultation closes on 14 September.
