The campaign is led by Public Health Wales in the effort to ensure that those who most need the vaccination are protected.
By raising awareness of the campaign, Tina hopes to encourage those within the health care family to receive the free NHS immunisation in order to reduce their own risk of catching flu and also reducing the risk of spreading the infection to the patients they care for.
On speaking to those administering the vaccination, Tina was told that around 80 health care workers had received the vaccination at Velindre Cancer Centre in the space of one hour, highlighting the support felt for this important campaign.
Tina was joined by Dr Sue Morgan, Executive Director of Nursing & Service Improvement, Velindre NHS Trust, who also received the flu vaccination. Following this, Sue escorted Tina around the care centre's wards, where she met with patients and staff.
