“Although the are some areas that the Care Quality Commission have rightly criticised, we would like to focus on the positives of this report – there are pockets of care that are outstanding and we would like to commend staff for that.
“The truth is, if the Trust was properly staffed it is likely that there would be more examples of outstanding care to be found. Services cannot be run with low levels of staffing and the wrong skill mix; we have been warning about this for some time. It is vital that these problems are addressed so that patients have access to the best possible care.”
