The Our NHS is 70 event, in which the RCN is taking part, will be on Saturday 30 June. It seeks to celebrate the health service while defending its status as a publicly owned service that is free to all.
The march and rally will stress the need for proper funding and staffing for the NHS, show support for NHS workers and demonstrate the need for world-class services for every community.
RCN members and staff will meet outside the Nursing and Midwifery Council building on Portland Place at 11.30am, before joining the march to Downing Street.
RCN President Cecilia Akrisie Anim will be speaking at the rally, with all members invited to attend to stand up for the NHS and health care in this country.
The event is being organised by many different groups including The People's Assembly, Health Campaigns Together and Trades Union Congress.
