Led by Professors Elizabeth Roe and Karen Brown, the group was made up of a variety of students, undertaking a number of courses from student nurse training to Masters and Doctorate level.
The group were given a tour of the RCN HQ and were informed about points of historical interest in the building. RCN London Regional Director Bernell Bussue, together with RCN London Operational Managers Sue Tarr and Nora Flanagan, gave a presentation about nursing in the UK and the differences between healthcare here and in the USA.
The students also gave a presentation about their work, the US health system and their university and its programmes.
The RCN works with colleagues working in nursing around the globe. The visit Saginaw Valley State University was part of a long running series of work with international students looking at British health care in the NHS and independent sectors.
