RCN Group launches consultation on education, learning and development strategy

We’re asking members from across the nursing workforce to share their views and priorities to help shape our future education, learning and development offer.

RCN Education Learning and Development

The RCN Group is committed to supporting all members in their education and career development and we want to know how we can best support your lifelong learning as you progress through the profession.

In collaboration with our RCN Group partners, RCN Foundation and RCNi, we are developing a three-year UK-wide education, learning and development strategy that will underpin the future of health and care professions. It will give access to flexible learning approaches, lead innovation, build on the integration of health and social care, and strengthen the voice of nursing and midwifery in all NHS and independent health and social care settings.
  
In order to help inform this strategy and ensure it responds to the needs of all members, we’ve launched a consultation. We’d like to hear from as many of you as possible, from all roles across the profession and the UK, to help shape the future of our education, learning and development offer and make sure we provide the learning opportunities you’d like to see.

There are two ways you can have your say.

Gill Coverdale, Project Lead for the RCN Group Education Strategy, said: “Education is the foundation upon which all of our careers are built. This is an exciting opportunity for us to develop and deliver new evidence-based guidance and learning resources that will support the UK’s future health care workforce requirements.
 
“We’d like to invite all members to feed into our consultation and help us develop a focused, informed strategy that provides the right education, learning and development opportunities to support nursing innovation, leadership and professional practice.”
